How to Delete Your Account & Data
In yoin (development code: casknote) you can delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the app. The steps are the same whether you signed up with Apple, Google, or Facebook.
1. Delete from within the app
- Open the yoin app.
- Open your own profile screen and tap the gear (settings) icon at the top right.
- Under the "Account" section, tap "Delete account".
- Review the explanation about deletion, then tap "Continue to delete".
- To verify your identity, sign in again with the method you used to register (Apple / Google / Facebook).
- On the "Delete your account?" confirmation, tap "Delete" to submit the deletion request.
2. What is deleted and what is anonymized
Once the deletion request is submitted, your data is handled as follows.
- Permanently deleted: account information (display name, email address, the provider's unique identifier, etc.), profile information and profile image, brand lists and wishlist, and place notes.
- Kept in anonymized form: the text and attached images of the tasting notes / reviews you posted remain, with the author anonymized as "(Deleted user)".
3. 30-day grace period
Immediately after you submit the request, your profile and posts become invisible to other users. For 30 days the account is in a soft-deleted state, and you can restore it at any time by logging in again with the same account. After 30 days, the data above is permanently deleted.
4. If you cannot access the app
If you cannot use the in-app flow (for example, because you lost your device), please contact yoinsupport@gmail.com with the email address you used to register. We will verify your identity and process the deletion on your behalf.
